User Stories Examples – Project Update #6

User Stories

Hi there,

Today, I want to share with you my next step in the process of developing the PrivateReview project. I’ve decided that it’s time to tell you about user stories for my application.

What are User Stories

In software engineering, user stories show how a user can interact with the software, and what the user wants to do with the software – it is a way of describing features in a more detailed way. They could be written on index cards or sticky notes. Then, they are analyzed and discussed by the design team. In this phase, engineers decide which features are worth developing and which are not.

Here are some examples of user stories for my project

  1.  A user wants to add a new product to an existing category
  2.  A user wants to add a new product to a new category, so he or she needs to create a new category as well.
  3.  A user wants to delete a category.
  4.  A user wants to delete an existing product.
  5.  A user wants to edit information about a product.
  6.  A user wants to save changed information.
  7.  A user wants to display all products from a specific category.
  8.  A user wants to display top 5 products from a specific category.
  9.  A user wants to change a picture for a specific product.
  10.  A user wants to add a new picture to the database.
  11.  A user wants to delete all products.
  12.  A user wants to edit a review of a product.
  13.  A user wants to change the color theme.
  14.  A user wants to share his or her reviews with a friend.
  15.  A user wants to share his or her reviews on Facebook.

Would you add anything else to the list?
